Cyberworld Ethics (Online ethics)

Since creation, the virtual world is always a matter of controversy. Concerns about a shift in societal values become very high when the computer has become a lifestyle that can not be inevitable for the modern society. Values that the society had met each other and visit each other, now began to shift to communicate with each other through cyberspace. Virtual worlds were flooded with ‘citizens’ are an integral part of new space and time. From there emerged the virtual world is the various communities in order to satisfy human wants and needs for information.

Along with the development of a new world, the virtual world, then the conventions, ethics, and law must be made in order to maintain the existence of the virtual world. Because of its position that is susceptible to atmospheric crime, virtual world becomes a figure quite feared by various circles. From the start hacking, cracking up carding. One can arbitrarily send email to many people regardless of who sent it wanted to or not. People can break into other computers to use it for personal gain. And many other things in the real world more clearly obvious that they could be equated with criminal activity.

Then who should we realize as a nation that upholds ethical propriety, then there are actually some things that need to be considered in the cyber world interact. Many of us are indifferent to this ethic, and of course we can equate it with “people who are not civilized” or “people who do not understand the ethics of” .. even more extreme if you want something called “cyber whore” .. Wew. If I was alone enough to call with a polite term “HAM!”.

Years ago in 2008 a Jew named Ezekiel Analysts Business Management AG, making “The Ten Commandement of Computer Ethics”, the term for which he formulated computing ethics. If indeed the Jews see his name once, because similar to the 10 Commandments to Moses commanded that until now still exist in the Old Testament. Of The Ten Commandement of Computer Ethics, or translation of the release contains 10 computing Command Ethics:

  1. Do not use a computer to harm other people
  2. Do not violate or interfere with the rights or the work of someone else’s computer
  3. Do not spy on the files that are not right
  4. Do not use a computer to steal
  5. Do not use a computer to give false testimony
  6. Do not duplicate or using software without paying
  7. Do not use someone else’s computer resources without the knowledge of the relevant
  8. Do not steal other people’s intellectual property
  9. Consider the consequences of the programs created or designed a computer system
  10. Always consider and respect for others when using computers

And as cyberspace society which is registered automatically, then it is only fair that we continue to maintain and adhere to this cyber world ethics. I think with the development of technology is fast enough and accompanied by Netizen (citizen of the virtual world) who are ethical, then the virtual world is no longer a world that caution must be taken to excess.
