Nokia launched its latest series mobile phones in Indonesia, namely Nokia X5. This phone comes with a unique square-shaped box and a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

Total Cell Phone in the World Today As Much as 5 Billion

The number of phones in use worldwide has reached five billion units. This condition is driven by increased demand in emerging markets in India and China. According to a study conducted by Swedish telecommunications giant, Ericsson, Thursday (15/07/2010).

“The fifth billion mobile phone users in the world record on July 8,” the company said in a statement.

In ten years, the mobile market has grown to seven-fold. “In 2000, approximately 720 million people are registered as users of mobile phones. The amount is smaller than just mobile phone users in China today,” said Ericsson. Read more…
